New post on our Texas trip
Well it has been over a year since we have posted anything on our blog and I suppose everyone has give up on us. I'm back and will make a real effort not to ever quit posting. We left Lascassas, TN on the 5th of October 2010 headed for Texas. We traveled about 330 miles the first day and as I unhooked from the 5th wheel RV to go get fuel I heard an terrible noise in our truck engine. It was the water pump. Thanks to a very good friend we was back on the road next day about 11:00am wit a new water pump. We continued on our trip and spent four months in Texas. Went all the way to Brownsville but didn't cross the border. We got to Big Bend National Park January 25th and was going to spend about ten days there but a very cold front was coming so we had to move on. We went from there to Fort Davis, a fort in the old west days. We stayed there two days and moved on to Deming, NM for just one night staying just ahead of the cold. We got to St. David, AZ February 1 and stayed eight days. While we were there the Temperature dropped to three degrees above Zero. It was coooooold!!!!!! We arrived here at Verde Valley Thousand Trails Park February ninth and have been in this area since. We drove down to Phoenix to visit with Helen's Sister Sylvia and her husband last week. He is a world champion disk golf player. He was competing in a tournament there. He had to compete in a class 15 years younger than he because there was none his age. He placed third I think in well over one hundred and fifty players. I will post some pictures later of some of our Texas adventures.

Our Trip from Texas to Cottonwood
Sadona, Az
These ar just a few of the pictures Helen took of the snow we had on February 27 at Sadona, AZ. She took about 200 but narrowed it to 149. It was a very beautiful snow. Probably the most beautiful we had ever seen. About seven inches deep.
Oak Creek Canyon
Oak Creek Canyon is probably the most beautiful place on earth. There is also a hiking trail on the west fork of Oak Creek that is mine and Helen's most favorite place to hike.
Cottonwood, AZ
This is a tipical sunrise at Verde Valley Thousand Trails Campground. The Sunsets ar awesome also. This is our RV in the picture.
